The Challenge

The Asia PAcific regional Department had invested for years to build a local regional BAU team & infrastructure as a basis of subsequent transformation in past few years. As a result client had the challenge of Infrastructure cost overshooting, local attrition and other compliance issues.

Due to the influx of growth from emerging market and a global direction to expand existing infrastructure, The head of global IT infrastructure department had a mandate to have local 'Zero BAU' unit with, more focus on client projects. This resulted in need to setup an offshore delivery center to manage day to day Infra BAU tasks with 24/7 command center, using ITIL process

The Project

Scope: To setup a Managed service Model with end to end delivery support in two phases

Phase 1: Distributed Systems

Distributed Servers - Providing OS Infrastructure support to around 1500 (Windows/Linux) Servers hosted locally with 24/7 NSM monitoring.
Middleware - Defining managed service model for Middleware applications hosted in DC with end to end support tasks and transition new technologies like UDM/SFG, MQ.
Storage - Monitoring all Local storage devices through Monitoring tool hosted in DC.
Backup - Implementing Backup Solution in Indonesia and defining end to end Tape backup management process.

Duration: 8 Months

Phase 2: AS400, Workplace, Network, Service Managementp

AS400 : Central regional team to provide AS400 infrastructure support with priviliedge user provisioning, compliance, weekend batch job by applicaiton team.
Workplace : A remote factory setup to provide User workstation through specified workplace tools sets. Service Management : Setup a ITSM team based upon ITIL Process
